Title: Bannerman Castle:

Authors: Thom Johnson and Barbara Gottlock

Presenter: Wes Gottlock

A newly published Arcadia Book depicting the history of Pollopel Island, the small island in the Hudson River across from the Cormwall/New Windsor area. Its history dates back to Indian times and there are many legends and superstitions about it.

In their book of many photographs, the family's history is explored as well as the building of a huge arsenal and a family home. The author's presentation will highlight the ingenuity of this immigrant family, the near destruction of the buildings, and the present status of the island, now  under the watchful eyes of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and the Bannerman Castle Trust Inc.

December program titled "Holidays in the Highlands".
